This chia mixed berry jam is perfect to spread on toast, add to plain yogurt, or use on baked goods. And it’s loaded with the amazing strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry trio!
Berries are like a antioxidant power house! Those pretty colors are not just for show. That strong color means that there are phytomchemicals in the fruit, which help protect our body from free radicals and reduce the risk of chronic diseases, such as cancers and heart disease. Berries are also loaded with vitamins, minerals, and fiber. They even happen to be some of the lowest sugar fruits which never hurt nobody.
And then there’s the chia! I personally love chia seeds. They are by far my favorite seed to use in baked goods, smoothies, yogurt, oatmeal, and of course JAM. They are super high in fiber, especially soluble fiber, which causes the chia seeds to soak up a large amount of liquids and expand multiple times their size in your stomach. This helps keep you full and improve your digestion!
So how could this now be a power combo right?! Below is this delicious recipe and if I’m gonna let you in on a little secret you can really use whatever berries you’d like. You want to make it an only blueberry jam.. go ahead! OR replace the strawberries with blackberries… Thats fine too! Just keep the ratio 3 cups of berries to one batch.
I’m sure this recipe will not disappoint… Hope you enjoy!
