Living a low carb lifestyle can seem overwhelming at first. But once you find go-to foods that you love it makes it a whole lot easier! I am going to list for you my favorite low carb products that I also stock in my kitchen so that you can confidently live a low carb lifestyle! I have tried all these products, they are my tried and true go-to’s and the products I recommend to my clients for their weight loss journey.
Protein Powders
I am a huge fan of protein powders. I always recommend my clients consume at least 20 grams of protein per meal and proteins powders can be an easy and convenient way to get that in. My favorites are primal kitchen collagen fuel for oats, chia pudding or mixed with unsweetened almond like as a snack. But I also love tone it up protein powders for smoothies because it keeps me full longer! Pictured below is my beloved tone it up protein 🙂
Natural Sweeteners
For me going low carb has help my sweet tooth so much! But don’t get me wrong I still enjoy a little sweetness in my life sometimes. I prefer to use monk fruit or stevia for my sweetener of choice because they are both natural, I enjoy the flavors and they have no carbs or calories.
Cauliflower Pizza Crust
Not all cauliflower pizza crust is created equal ladies! Actually, most on the market are not the traditional cauliflower crust you would make at home and are actually pretty high carb. The only brand I have found that is exactly like the one I would make at home is Cauli’flour Foods pizza crust!
Chocolate
Chocolate may be one of my favorite treats! I’d personally take chocolate over other sweets any day. You can of course eat whatever chocolate you enjoy but my absolute favorite is Lilys Chocolate bars. They have been a total game changer for me. To be honestly I enjoy them over traditional candy bars and they just happen to be lower carb so it’s a win win! My favorite flavors are dark chocolate almond, salted almond milk chocolate (this one taste like a chocolate caramel) and dark chocolate sea salt.
Pasta
Incase you can’t tell by my last time DiBiasi I’m Italian and I grew up eating pasts pretty often. So finding a pasta substitute that actually tasted good was something important to me. The thing I love about Explore Cuisine pasta is that the flavor so mild that it taste like whatever sauce you put on it. Also it is loaded with 24 grams of protein and 11 grams of fiber per serving so it actually keeps you full!
Dressings
When it comes to dressing make sure you are not using low fat. If it is low fat it is most likely high and sugar and that is not what we wan’t following our low carb lifestyle. But regardless of low carb or not dressings you also wan’t to make sure the oils used are quality oils that do not cause inflammation in the body. One of the only brand I trust, use myself and recommend to clients is primal kitchen for there dressings and other condiments because I know they are using good quality oils and no added sugars.
Protein Bars
I am not a fan of 90% of the protein bars on the market. Mostly because most of them are not actually protein carbs (they’re carbohydrate bars) and they are loaded with unnecessary additives and fillers. The only bar I personally eat is the bullet proof bar. They taste amazing and are loaded with protein, fat and fiber to keep you full between meals.
